Finding ways to meet the needs of people without hope has become my passion. I've been spearheading humanitarian projects since 2001. First in the Dominican Republic and now also in India.
Thousands of people in the Dominican Republic struggle to just find shelter, sufficient food and clothing. Disease is abundant there and medical resources are few especially for the poor. I have been organizing medical care and health education programs all around the country. It is one of the most rewarding things I've ever been involved in!
India is a vast country with a huge population and a struggling infrastructure. Lack of education plagues the poor class. The organization that I started in India holds out door school programs for the slum kids. They learn the 3R's which will open a door to a whole new world for them. We also run a technical program that rescues women from slavery and teaches them to be a professional tailor. At the end of the course we give them a certificate and the machine that they learned on!
